True crime podcasters, for the most part, genuinely support each other. Sure, there may be the odd exception, but overall, there’s a real sense of community. When I first launched my show back in 2016, I was under the impression that other podcasters were the competition. But I quickly learned that’s far from the truth. In reality, our successes are shared—when one show gains traction, it can bring in listeners who may go on to discover other podcasts in the genre. We all benefit, and I actively celebrate each of their wins.

That is why I really enjoy the True Crime Podcasters Roundtable we hold pretty regularly. It gives us a chance to speak to fellow podcasters about all things true crime and true crime podcasting.

This week, I really enjoyed the chat with Naomi (REAL True Crime), Dawn (Scottish Murders) and Paul (True Crime Enthusiast).
